OMK-Partnership Competitors to Receive Support from Presidential Grant Foundation

11 winners of and participants in the OMK-Partnership Competition for Social and Charity Initiatives held by the United Metallurgical Company (AO OMK, Moscow) in areas of operation have been selected as winners of the second competition of the Presidential Grant Foundation in 2019. The total amount of funding granted is 15,000,000 rubles. These grants were given to non-profits in Vyksa (Nizhniy Novgorod Region), Chusovoy (Perm Territory), Blagoveshchensk (Republic of Bashkortostan), and Chelyabinsk. The Foundation recognized projects designed to support women in crisis, disabled children, and senior citizens as well as initiatives designed to reach out to young people, strengthen cultural ties, and promote patriotic education. Chelyabinsk and the Republic of Bashkortostan were rated among the Top 10 regions for the number of winners from the Presidential Grant Foundation. The OMK-Partnership Competition for Social and Charity Initiatives addresses social issues in OMK's areas of operation. It creates conditions conducive to local community development, support for public initiatives and projects, including those of social volunteerism. This is in keeping with Russia's national priorities and strategic development objectives. "Our applications to the OM-Partnership Competitions are similar to the Presidential Grant Foundation application form in many respects. In addition, we train our beneficiaries annually in social design, fund raising, promotion of initiatives through the media, crowd funding, monitoring, and assessment. This helps them win regional and federal grants, and as a consequence, raise additional money for their towns to address social issues and develop and strengthen their non-profits. One of the OMK- Partnership objectives is training in social design and testing new social technologies in the Company's areas of operation. The fact that our competition participants are able to obtain presidential grants is evidence that this objective is being accomplished", commented OMK Corporate Social Responsibility Lead Olga Mironova.
