The United Metallurgical Company (AO OMK, Moscow) is expanding its offering of flat goods to construction, engineering, ship building, and other sectors.

In particular, for the first 5 months of 2017, the company successfully shipped Vyksa Steel Works (AO VSW, Nizhniy Novgorod Region, an OMK subsidiary) steel plate made of ст3, ст09г2с, С390 steel with thicknesses of up to 150 mm and widths of up to 3,100 mm (strengths of up to 440 MPa with guaranteed Z-direction properties and UT-tested for Class 1 continuity) to manufacture structural steel for the wholesale market segment, i. e. to major trading companies.

"The capabilities of VSW's Wide Plate Mill-5000, Russia's most advanced, enable us to meet virtually any requirements coming from the end users of metal product from different sectors and supply them with high-quality flat goods. Given that we also produce a wide range of shaped pipe, we give our customers an integrated offering," noted OMK Chief Commercial Officer Eduard Stepantsov.
