The Trubodetal Facility (AO Trubodetal, Chelyabinsk, a United Metallurgical Company (AO OMK, Moscow) Subsidiary) was named second in the regional contest of collective agreements as bases for the protection of employees’ social and labor rights for companies with between 1,001 and 2,000 employees.
The Organizing Committee evaluated compliance with collective agreements, extended employer remuneration undertakings as well as undertaking regarding social guarantees for employees and employee family members over and above what is required by statute. For participating in the contest, the facility's entire team was recognized by Chelyabinsk Region Deputy Governor Ruslan Gattarov. He noted the facility’s high level of responsibility in protecting the social and the labor rights of its employees and its desire to improve working conditions. This has a positive effect both on the development of the organization as such and that of the Chelyabinsk Region overall.
“It is not the first time that the facility is named one of the winners of the contest, and we try and keep the level of expectations high. It is very important for us to see employees working under proper conditions and having access to opportunities for professional development”, noted AO Trubodetal Managing Director Dmitri Markov.
The AO Trubodetal Collective Agreement was in effect through December 31, 2016. As of January 1, 2017, the employees and the employer entered into a new agreement which will remain in effect through the end of 2018. Under the agreement, employee payouts increased by 4% on average.
The contest of collective agreements as bases for the protection of employees’ social and labor rights was organized by the Chelyabinsk Regional Ministry of Economic Development. In 2016, it included 48 participants from 17 municipal districts within the Region.
