The United Metallurgical Company's facilities in Belgorod and Chelyabinsk (OMK Energomash and OMK Trubodetal) are scheduled to deliver 1,800 tons of product for the ongoing nuclear power plant construction projects at Kudankulam (India), Rooppur (Republic of Bangladesh) and the Kursk-2 Nuclear Power Plant before the end of 2021. This was reported by Managing Director of OMK's Belgorod and Chelyabinsk facilities Alexander Vashchenko at a meeting on issues of completing AO Atomstroyexport's production program.
Pipelines for the Kursk-2 NPP will include support and suspension systems manufactured under OMK Energomash's joint manufacturing program with Lisega of Germany.
OMK's facilities both in and outside Russia are known as reliable suppliers of choice. We will meet our undertakings before the customer as defined by contact and we will complete some of the deliveries early. Our many years of collaboration with Atomstroyexport are a most important strategic priority for our facilities," emphasized Managing Director of OMK's Belgorod and Chelyabinsk facilities Alexander Vashchenko.
AO Atomstroyexport (AO ASE) is part of Rosatom's engineering division that implements large NPP construction projects in Russia and elsewhere, including Kudankulam in India, Roopur in the Republic of Bangladesh, and Kursk-2 in the Kursk Region of Russia.
