In 2019, OMK Doubles Automotive Spring Sales through Online Store

The Chusovoy Metallurgical Works (AO CMW, Perm Territory, a United Metallurgical Company (AO OMK) subsidiary) rolled out an online platform to sell its springs in June 2018. Over 3,600 automotive springs have been sold through the online store and the CMW sales offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the space of a single year. And over 2,700 automotive springs, just in the first six months of 2019. Previously, CMW sold no product directly to the end user. Springs were only sold through a dealership network. After the online store opened, the facility was able to increase the economic efficiency of sales in the span of a year, and individuals can now buy springs directly from CMW without any surcharges. Starting May 2019, the CMW stock of springs in support of the online store is located at company warehouses in Moscow and St. Petersburg. This has greatly simplified logistics and reduced product delivery lead times for customers. “An in-house online sales platform is a response to the needs of the time and the automotive parts and components market. The development of a new advanced sales conduit in the form of an online store helped the manufacturer make its product more accessible to customers. At the present time, we are aiming further to improve our online sales and the quality of the service we provide to our customers”, commented CMW Sales Director Ivan Tertichniy.
