Trubodetal Successfully Completes American Petroleum Institute Audit

The Trubodetal Manufacturing Facility (AO Trubodetal, Chelyabinsk, a United Metallurgical Company (AO OMK, Moscow) Subsidiary) completed an audit administered by the American Petroleum Institute (API) as an international certification authority.

Auditors verified the facility's quality management system for compliance with API Specification Q1, 9th Edition, and ISO 9001:2008. Experts examined the entire pipeline connector manufacturing cycle, visited the principal shops and organizations reporting to the Technical Development Directorate, HR, procurement, and sales. After the audit was complete, the auditors emphasized that Trubodetal was a company with a highly developed manufacturing culture with highly computerized business processes.

Background
The Trubodetal facility obtained the American Petroleum Institute certification in 2015, thereafter re-confirming compliance with API Q1 and ISO 9001 on an annual basis. The certificate is valid for a period of three years following which the facility will have to re-certify.
