Southern Corridor

The Southern Corridor gas pipeline system delivers gas from Russia’s central part to the south transiting several regions.

The first run starts in the Voronezh Region, passes the Rostov Region and finishes at the Russkaya compressor station in Krasnodar Territory. The second will connect the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Republic of Mordovia, Penza, Saratov, Volgograd and Rostov Regions and will also finish at the Russkaya compressor station. The gas pipeline will stretch for over 2,500 km. OMK is delivering pipes and unique fittings for the project.

OMK role in the project
The Trubodetal factory, which is part of OMK, is successfully fulfilling the delivery contracts for Southern Corridor. In particular, we have delivered the installation nodes to Gazprom for reconstructing the Bubnovka compressor station, with manholes included in the delivered items list for them first time after launching their production in 2012.

Purpose
The Southern Corridor gas pipeline system is set to expand gas deliveries to Russia’s central and southern regions and will ensure a stable supply of natural gas to the Turkish Stream export gas pipeline.
