Bovanenkovo-Ukhta

The Bovanenkovo-Ukhta gas pipeline stretches for 1,100 km.

It connects large fields on the Yamal Peninsula with Central Russia. Its planned capacity is 140 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

OMK role in the project
For the project the company has supplied more than 300 000 tons of large diameter pipes (diameter — 530-1420 mm, wall thickness — up to 33,4 mm). Also an investment project was implemented at the Trubodetal factory (is part of OMK) for the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta gas pipeline which made us the only Russian company participating in the project to manufacture the products of the required design and quality , namely the tees and bends with an operating pressure of 11.8 MPa.

Purpose
The construction of the gas pipeline is a major part of implementing the project aimed at developing gigantic gas deposits on the Yamal Peninsula. The project ensures more intense gas supplies to Russia’s European part.
